Swami Vivekananda Quotes : Swami Vivekananda was born on 12th January ,1863 : to Narendranath Datta, was an Indian Hindu monk. Swami Vivekananda was born into an aristocratic Bengali family of Calcutta. He was influenced by his Guru Ramakrishna Deva, from whom he learnt service to God could be rendered by the service to Mankind. He was inclined towards spirituality. He was a pivotal figure in introducing Indian philosophies of Vedanta and Yoga to the Western World.. He founded the Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission.
He is best known for his speech in which he introduced Hinduism at the Parliament of the World’s Religions in Chicago in 1893 which began “Sisters and brothers of America..,,”. He conducted many public and private lecturers and classes spreading tenets of Hindu Philosophy. In India, his birthday is celebrated as National Youth Day and he is reputed as Patriotic Saint. One of his quotes is “Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached”. On July 4th , 1902 he died at 9:10 pm while meditating.
